Awesome Care and Education

Posted byhappymom42on 9/29/2008

Growing Room is an awesome place for your children. My children have gone there since they were infants. We love it. We built a family with the employees there and if it wasn't for them we would have never gotten our youngest one potty trained. They also helped prepare our oldest child for elementary school. He is in the gifted program and a straight "A" student. I really contribute this to the Growing Room and his teachers there. I felt guilty as a mom having to leave my children in someone else's care, but the teachers there really helped to ease this feeling. You can tell that they truly love my children. I would recommend Growing Room to everyone.

Shut this place down

I agree with dawn05. I am still presently having issues with Imagination Station 1 myself. My son is constantly being bitten and no one ever knows when it happens or documents it according to Georgia State regulations. Whenever I do get an "incident report" they are composed with illiteracy. They don't state what really happened and are in broken English. They issue out a handbook, but don't follow it except when your child has a "blowout" or whatever the term is that they use. They do use other people diapers/pullups. They are extremely money hungry and always avoid answering parents directly when something needs to be addressed. They have this "have another cookie, everything will be all better" attitude and nothing gets resolved. They sweep everything under the rug. I wonder if they do any real background checks on folks. They don't hire quality people, when they do, those individuals leave. There are some awesome teachers, but unfortunately your child can't stay with them. They are "transitioned" onto the next class. I agree that your kid is hungry when you pick them up, but how about thirsty? My son was dying of thirst about a week ago. I noticed his urine is really yellow. It is supposed to be clear. I noticed he isn't taking naps either. What is going on?They do not enforce good potty training. It is frustrating when you do it at home with minimal accidents coming to school to find almost all the outfits wet and/or soiled. The list is endless. The State needs to come in and shut them down. I hate this place and feel guilty about taking my son there. There aren't many alternatives in Columbus.Everywhere you look it is Growing Room. I refuse to give it any stars, but I have to in order to post my comments.

I would not recommend the Grow...

I would not recommend the Growing Room at all. They are money hungry and they call you for every little thing. The workers lie and they hire people off the streets who has no interest in children what so ever. They don't sanitize the center like they should. I definitely would not recommend the daycare that is Imagination Station I. The director is rude and she doesn't care about peoples children. They don't have healthy breakfast, lunch or snacks. Your child will be starving when you pick him or her up. They use other peoples children diapers on your child. I would not recommend the Growing Room at Imagination Station I at all!!!!!!
